Who is this guy?
My name is Benton Greene. I majored in aerospace engineering with a concentration in space mission design at the University of Texas where I was active in the Longhorn Rocket Association, UT Solar Vehicles Team, and the FASTRAC nanosatellite project.
I continued at UT to study fluid mechanics for my graduate work, focusing on shock wave-boundary layer interaction for my Master's research, and moving on to spacecraft reentry thermal protection research for my PhD studies. I completed my PhD on the effects of pyrolysis on thermal protection system performance in August of 2018.
I currently work with the NASA Orbital Debris Program Office under the JETS II contract modeling post-mission disposal of spacecraft and atmospheric reentry of orbital debris. In my limited spare time, I like to do photography, make a variety of crafts, draw, read, and play with small software development projects. I occasionally showcase these projects on this site, but often I only get around to uploading them to one of my other internet residences, so I’ve listed these below.
